Antiques, collectibles and treasures as far as the eye can see

Now that we have technically reached spring, at least on paper, the first of four antique flea markets is right around the corner.  Imagine acres and acres of priceless antiques, collectibles, and yes just flat out junk. Though you know what ‘they’ say…one person’s junk is another’s treasure and truly there are lots of treasures to be found at the Elkhorn, WI Antique Flea Market (https://www.nlpromotionsllc.com/). If you are the least bit into antiques, this flea market is a wonderful sight to behold.  John and I have found terrific items from soup terrines to armoires and lots of treasures in between, all for very good prices. Even if you are not into antiques, it’s just plain good fun to walk around the Antique Flea Market because there are plenty of food vendors and there are farmers selling produce, plants, and the like.

The Antique Flea Market open at 7:00 am and most vendors start packing up to leave around 3 pm.  For those of you who want to get a jump on shopping, you can pay $25.00 for access the evening before the Flea Market formally opens.  If you want to go to the Flea Market when it opens, we’ll prepare a delicious continental breakfast for you take with you or you can go to the Antique Flea Market early and come back to Ye Olde Manor House by 10 am for the last breakfast seating.  If you want to have a more leisurely visit to the Antique Flea Market, you can have a delicious hot breakfast at Ye Olde Manor House before you head out.  Think crispy breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs with fresh organic herbs, fluffy French toast, a variety of breakfast meats, including plant based options, and the like.

The Antique Flea Market is held on the county fairgrounds just a short ten-minute drive from Ye Olde Manor House.   In 2018 the Antique Flea Market will be held on:  May 20; June 24; Aug 12; and Sept 30. It provides a wonderful way to spend a spring, summer or fall day, rain or shine. The pathways are paved, and vendors display their goods outside and in several covered buildings.  There is a $5.00 entry fee and you can get your hand stamped so that you can leave and return as you desire.  Free parking is available in a huge lot across from the fairgrounds.  Hope to see you soon!
